  Going Veggie

  when i was jw, i didn't know any vegetarians.

  they had the teaching that god had allowed us to eat animals, so we just eat animals.

  no questions asked.. just recently i started to consider being vegetarian.

  DID YOU DEDICATE YOURSELF BEFORE BAPTISM OR DID YOU LIE?

  i was just wondering when you where going through the questions for baptism did you know you had to dedicate yourself to jehovah before hand or did you lie?.

  i didn't know i had to so when i went through the questions i had to lie and say i had.

  i always felt bad about it afterwards and quickly did a little prayer that night.

  I looked at baptism as a necessary part of keeping my position in my family and religion stable. Dedicating my life to Jehovah was just part of the package.

  today when a coworker said that they had problems with their complextion and these huge bumps, another coworker piped up....said they must not be "getting any.

  I read the post and had a pretty good idea of where this thread is heading. However **scratches leg** due to the apparent subject matter, I figured I'd use this opportunity to vent a little frustration regarding the health of my largest (ahem) organ. LOL

  Do a google on Tinea Versicolor if your curious. It's a skin yeast infection more or less. I feel bad for the people's photos you'll see if you image search. My case is not nearly as bad as theirs.

  Terrible!

  My facial skin is A-OK, however, I get patches of bad eczema off and on and I also have to deal with tinea versicolor. The eczema is a real nightmare because it's just so itchy. The tinea versicolor dosn't cause any discomfort but it can be unattractive.

  a couple months ago my jw mom told me that in all the book study groups for their congregation they were told to go out and by emergency kits because "things were getting so bad".

  i restrained myself from rolling my eyes.

  has anyone else heard of this happening?

  i restrained myself from rolling my eyes.

  I was told of a pedophile, gun-toting, JW who had spent thousands on preparing for the end, food, guns, emergency supplies, you know. The elders knew of his purchases and plans, and not a word.........especially, not about being a pedophile.

  OMG, that must mean that all gun toting JW's are pedophiles, huh?

  I guess that your story would have a lot more credibility if you had written proof, huh? Who cares if he spends millions on generators, bomb shelters, and heaven forbid....guns. Pedophelia, on the other hand is a totally different scenario.

  Dont confuse child molestation with one's 2nd ammendment rights.

  can you share your experiences with hypnosis?

  beyond the yes it worked for me or no it did not work for me, what i am looking for especifically is whether or not it opened you up for demon attacks or demonic activity.

  Thanks Darth. It sounds like your experience was fun. Have you had any scary "trips" while stoned? Ever feel like maybe you were in contact with beings from another realm?

  Oh yeah. I've had some scary trips. However, I was never worried about demons or little green beings from other worlds. My scary experiences involved real life situations, law enforcement, and paranoia.

  A scan of the BOE letter or KM article would be helpful towards taking it out of the "rumor" mill.

  If an announcement is made from the stage, it can either be a local body or individual elder's personal opinion. It doesn't mean it is an official pronouncement from NY.

  For some reason, and Im not sure why, but your last post really cracked me up. You're so correct about how the WTBS controlls the flock right down to the paper on mirrors or the three squares of TP. LOL
